The Southwest Chapter consists of six vibrant states AR,CO,LA,NM,OK,TX We strive hard to push our physical distance boundaries and create stronger Maheshwari Bond in Samaj with 110+ families to keep us motivated.
Our Chapter celebrates Makar Sankranti, Holi, Gangaur, Karwa Chauth, Teej, Diwali together, We also do a summer / fall picnic / camp which is attended by 50+ families staying together for over 2-3 nights.
Our Pariwars contribute in 20+ Local & Global Non Profit organizations helping not only with Charity but with volunteering & mentorship programs. We believe in producing the future leaders of the community

SAWAN KA JHULA 2017
August 5th 2017, MMNA Southwest ladies celebrated Sawan Ka Jhula program with great participation and enthusiasm.
This is a great age old celebration signifying how we respect nature and celebrate the change year over year. Sawan maas (month) is considered to be one of the most pious and sacred month of the year where we keep various UPAVAS, VRAT, FESTIVITIES and POOJA.
Katy Hosted Picnic & Mother's Day
Southwest Chapter (Houston) has taken initiative to meet more often. Each regional area is hosting small get together in form of picnic.
On May 13th, Katy Maheshwari Pariwars hosted picnic in Katy area. More than 125 members from Houston at large joined this picnic.
Members enjoyed playing volleyball, foot ball & other kids game. Sakhi group arranged special games for Mother's day followed by delicious food.
MAHESH NAVAMI 2017
Houston South-West chapter celebrated Mahesh Navami on June 4, 2017 at Shiv Shakti Mandir. Families celebrated with traditional Aarti followed by cultural program and dinner. During this program, South-West chapter also awarded the Rajasthani members for their specific achievements in education or other fields. More than 100 members participated in this program.
March 11th 2017, with 40+ families, MMNA Southwest Chapter families from 5 cities enjoyed a overnight Holi Picnic at Radha Madhav Dham in Austin and celebrated Braj style holi. Interactive Holi story session with Swami Nikhilanandji explaining the importance of the utsav and engaging children in Q&A. Past President Narendraji Zamwar introduced MMNA's, outreach, activities,background,RAYS, SAKHI, Student Scholarships and upcoming National events. Followed by a Show your Talent Cultural Night where children presented their Singing, Dance, Bhajan & Instruments skills.

Like every year we had a great Gangaur Puja in a very traditional manner, this is one more event where more and more Maheshwari & Rajasthani Root families get connected to each other under one common umbrella and helps grow the community outreach. Many thanks to several senior Pariwars for keeping this tradition alive and making it the melting pot of the community.

Houston families celebrating the Makar Sankranti picnic, playing white elephant gift exchange like our traditional Terunda exchange program, kids enjoyed kite flying and also some indoor/outdoor 1- tappa Cricket & lots of community joy followed by Marwadi potluck
We are also proud volunteers coordinators & sponsors in local kite flying event with 10+ organizations attended by 5000+ in the community
