Dear Friends:

Jai Mahesh and Happy Dussera. On behalf of the Nominating Committee, I am writing to all life members of MMNA regarding the 2009-2012 National Executive Committee (NEC). The process we employed in identifying individuals is consistent with MMNA constitution as well as prior practices of MMNA. The Chairman of the Board of Directors appointed a Nominating Committee consisting of two Board members and three life members. Nominations were requested from life members for all NEC positions. Our sole goal was to identify individuals who would advance the goals and objectives of MMNA and serve as a team in the best interest of MMNA. We were diligent in our deliberations over several conference calls. With a unanimous vote, the Nominating Committee prepared a slate consistent with the practice of how the slate has been prepared in the past. The criteria we used include recent contributions to MMNA; geographical, gender, and age diversity; suitability and experience for a given position; and seniority. We are pleased to present to you the following slate of officers as a cohesive team.

We strongly believe that this slate will work as a solid team to advance the goals and objectives of MMNA. We respectfully recommend that you approve the entire slate. Those who wish to oppose the complete slate are required to do so by replying to this email by 5 pm (EST) on Monday, October 20, 2008. We thank you for your attention.

Officer Bios

Kishore Lohiya: Businessman, MMNA convention (Houston/Galveston, 2003) chair, past president of MMNA Southwest chapter, currently vice president of MMNA National Executive Committee, actively involved in several facets of recent MMNA convention (2008 Bahamas), served as VP of Maharashtra Mandal of Houston and as volunteer for Swaminarayan Temple.

Giridhar Heda: Retired businessman, actively involved in MMNA from the beginning and currently vice president of MMNA New England chapter.

Shaila Mantri: Self employed in the financial planning business, past vice president of and current president of MMNA West Coast (south) chapter.

Parag Bajaj: Businessman, past vice president and current president of MMNA Midwest chapter, co-editor of souvenir for 2008 MMNA convention.

Suresh Deopura: Owns IT consulting business, represents northern California (Bay area) as a potential new chapter, actively involved in several India related organizations in the Bay area.

Anita Ajmera: Businesswoman, lead chair of MMNA Sakhi group.

Rajesh Kabra: Financial specialist, actively involved in several India related organizations, past treasurer and president of MMNA Northeast chapter, involved in MMNA Sakhi and youth groups.

Sushma Pallod: Past president of Southwest chapter, involved in several India related organizations, active contributor/volunteer for MMNA convention (Houston/Galveston, 2003).
