Midwest Chapter holds Soup Kitchen
April 11, 2009
On April 11th, about 25 community members gathered at St. Leo's Soup

who left us in the prime of her life. Paragji Bajaj said, "We could not have
found a better way to honor the life of this compassionate and a
very brave person."
In addition to volunteering their time, the community members also donated
gently used clothes and food to the soup kitchen. Mr. Avinash Mundade
donated a truck-load of canned foods. The event was jointly organized
with the Schoolcraft College. Everyone assembled at the Soup kitchen at
09:00 AM and were all assigned tasks like helping in kitchen, making
peanut butter sandwiches, helping with Easter egg hunt, etc.
Before serving the food to the guests there was a small ceremony in which
everyone sang the prayer 'Hum Ko Mun Ki Shakti Dena...'
Paragji Bajaj added, "This was a most satisfying experience for all the
assembled community members everyone went home with the feeling that they
