The purpose of “Sakhi” is to unify Maheshwari / Rajasthani ladies living in North America as a pariwar. Through Sakhi we are trying to foster Maheshwari/Rajasthani culture, Marwadi language, spiritual awareness, family values, promoting a sense of identity and community through the celebration of Marwadi festivals such as Gangaur and Teej. Sakhi encourages sharing talent/knowledge with each other in a fun and creative ways – crafts, arts, cooking, and workshops. Sakhi communication is done via the MMNA Sakhi facebook, MMNA website, and yahoo group. MMNA Sakhi Facebook is a platform for discussion on various topics.
