We hope this website will provide useful information for you to stay informed about our various activities, network with the community members within the regions and throughout North America, and facilitate discussion on common interests. Through great effort by the members and team of the Mideast Chapter families, we have been routinely organizing many community activities with great success and participation for the past several years. We regularly celebrate Diwali and Holi together as a community with food/cultural programs. Festivals like Teej and Gangaur have also been very popular events. We have also hosted community picnics, hikes, Sakha monthly cricket and others. These activities have been a wonderful way to not only socialize with people from various backgrounds but also showcase talent, introduce our culture to the new generation, and foster new friendships. Mideast Chapter also proudly hosted the 2010 IMRC National Convention. MMNA strives to give back to the community through activities such as food drive. Mideast MMNA is truly your cultural home far away from home. Many thanks to all our Mideast volunteers who help make all these events a great success. Together, we are more than a community—we are a family bound by traditions, service, and shared aspirations. Our Mid East Chapter thrives because of the love, dedication, and spirit each member brings, ensuring that our cultural roots flourish while we continue making a meaningful impact on the world around us. Pretty impressive, don’t you think? Do you aspire to become a part of Mideast chapter? Then, contact Anand Daga for more details. You can follow and subscribe us on Facebook and Instagram. |

I have been associated with MMNA since late 90s - initially in the New England chapter, and with Mid East since 2004. Kusum (Bikaner) and I (Kolkata) reside in the northern Virginia area with our adopted Yorkie, Kaanha. Our older son, Nikhil, works in Chicago. And the younger one, Raunak, is in the final stretch of finishing college in Boston.

My name is Sheetal Daga and I live in Chantilly Virginia and originally from Pune, India. I am a licensed CPA with a passion for numbers and work for the world’s largest credit union. I’m also a proud mom of two wonderful teenage girls, ages 19 ( studying Computer science at University of Maryland) and 14 who is in middle school. I have a cute 6 year old Maltese named Biscuit and he keeps us very busy. When I’m not immersed in work, you can often find me experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, going on long hikes, exploring the world of pickleball (a game I’ve recently picked up), or planning my next adventure. I’m an avid traveler, with Greece and South Africa being two of my favorite destinations. I’m always seeking new experiences, whether it’s through cooking, sports, or travel.

Jai Shri Krishna ! I’m Shweta Ladda, reporting live from Ashburn, Northern Virginia. In Indian I am from Thane district, Mumbai (yes, I’ve upgraded my address but still carry my Mumbai swag). I’m married to Anand Ladda, my partner in crime. We have two kids: Shubhi, who’s 14 and a pro at dancing, and Aarush, 12, the family’s reigning snack ninja and basketball player. By day, I’m a Senior Software Development Manager—basically a code whisperer who occasionally speaks in binary just for fun. By night (and any chance I get), I’m a dancing queen and an Indian cooking enthusiast. So if you hear music, chances are you’ll find me busting a move or stirring up some spicy magic in the kitchen.
